New Alliances On The Creek

After Steve’s morning meeting with the new Ladies Auxiliary, he made his way to the creek to see how the expansion was coming. Much to his surprise, Biff and Peggy Sue had restructured the excavating crew for maximum efficiency. They had recruited their family and neighbors to come join in, and they were working in shifts of four.

Jimi Lou and Carl were getting highly excited and told Steve they were going home to see if they could also recruit more of their family and friends because the progress the armadillo crew was making was leaving the beaver crew unprepared.

Steve was getting worried about the tension in the air, so he took the leaders of the two crews aside to get a feel for both crew’s demeanor. Carl and Jimi Lou looked at Steve and then looked at Biff and Peggy Sue with reverence.

Carl exclaimed, “I have been seeing these guys my whole life and never knew they were so productive, or aggressive.”

He held out his paw to Biff in an attempt to create a lasting friendship. Biff was surprised because he had always thought the beaver families were hoity-toity... the engineers of nature and all. But he rolled with it, not realizing the action that had just taken place was kindling a lifelong friendship.

Biff the armadillo and Carl the beaver shake paws beside the creek while Peggy Sue, Jimi Lou, their crews, and Steve watch over the Creek Expansion Project.

The actions of the two males set a new tone between the armadillo and beaver crews that stood from that day forward. The alliance created a construction crew like no other and literally changed the way everyone at T-Bone’s Place looked at construction from that day forward.

Steve was so excited he could barely contain himself.
