JOVANT 3-In-1 Tree Trimming System Review

Here at T-Bone’s Place, Mrs. Bone has been on me for a hot minute to trim the trees in the yard. This was almost two years ago. She was correct, but at the time it wasn’t a 911. We prepared for the correction by ordering the 20V battery-powered tree trimming set. That was what she gave me for Christmas in 2024. It sat in the tool room ever since. Not long ago we were sitting in the house when a storm blew in and was quite blustery. The lights would flicker occasionally. After the storm, I went out to observe. The suspect limb was setting on the incoming cable right next to the weatherhead.

T-Bone puts the JOVANT 3-in-1 Tree Trimming System to work at T-Bone’s Place, demonstrating how it handles real-world trimming and cleanup around the farmstead.

Always follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions and use appropriate precautions for your own work area. We both have decades of experience in safety and industrial maintenance, working in the field with equipment, lifts, ladders, and machinery.

I unpacked the new tree trimming unit and charged the two 4.0Ah batteries. This morning we went out to give the new trimming unit a try. I got my multi-purpose 17’ extension ladder out and set it up, adjusted the pole saw to the maximum length of 9.3 ft, climbed the ladder and positioned myself for a cut. I was amazed how fast the high-carbon steel chain cut through the limb! The saw unit turned out to be quite boss… I worked the saw for a good while. The chain bar length is 6 inches. I cut limbs that I had to go to the other side and finish the cut because their diameter exceeded the bar length. I was pleased to say the least. I trimmed all the trees in our yard.

After that I changed the saw out for the pruning shears. I lubed it up with the supplied oil. I spent a good bit of time cutting the smaller limbs with this. At first, aiming this seemed unsettling due to when using on the extension pole, I couldn’t see the cutting blades at all. But after a few minutes it seemed to be no problem. I cut lots of smaller limbs, (3/4” and below) with no hassle. When the Mrs. came out, she was amazed by the difference in the yard. All the trees looked well kept. SCORE!!

The trimming system came to me to stay. It comes with one 30 mm electric pruner, one 6-inch chainsaw, one telescoping extension pole, two 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries, two replacement chains, one replacement chain plate, one quick charger, and one portable storage bag. My wife’s Christmas gift to me was one of the best gifts I have ever received, and I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a tree trimming system.
