🌿 Why Reading Matters to Me
My foray into books and the magical worlds within began earlier than most. I was fully in first grade just a few months after turning four — yes, I was one of those kids. I breezed through GATE classes (cue the eye rolls), but more than that, my momma nurtured my love of words. She had me reading the dictionary and our full set of Encyclopedia Britannica when I was just a little wild thing 🤪.
She took me to every library we could find, letting me check out as many books as I could carry. By age eight, I was reading at a ninth-grade level — and I’ve never looked back. Though she’s no longer with me, the love of reading she gave me remains, and I carry it forward with every page I turn.
Now living in East Texas, I’ve found peace in sharing that love with others. Whether it’s losing myself in the steamy pages of a passionate romance or chasing shadows through a masterfully written crime saga, books offer a kind of magic — a quiet escape from the stressors and trials of everyday life.

Some are lovingly repurposed from my personal library. Others are rescued from library sales, garage finds, local restores, and hidden gems discovered in quiet corners. Each one is carefully selected, gently cleaned, and thoughtfully rewrapped to become something beautiful and special — just for you.
Some books are gently loved, their pages turned with care. Others are pristine, waiting for their very first reader — and that might be you.

At Chapters & Chill, each book is hand-wrapped with care in East Texas. Please allow 1–2 business days for order processing. Once shipped via USPS, delivery typically takes 2–8 business days, depending on your location.
To set realistic expectations, we recommend planning for 7–10 days total from order to arrival. While we always hope your package arrives sooner, postal delays can happen — and we want your experience to be cozy, not stressful.
